About
I'm Walter Cornelius. Most people drift away from themselves for years without noticing. I teach the way back.
I built this after I mistook a crisis for a breakthrough. I could see all my patterns… but I realized I wasn't doing what I needed to change them.
My approach draws on the nondual teachings of Osho and Mooji, the Enneagram's structural insight into survival strategies, and the behavioral rigor of Self-Determination Theory.
After undergraduate studies in anthropology, I did my master's work in psychoanalysis and hold a Behavior Change Specialist certification from NASM. I'm also a graduate and staff member of the Path of Love process.
I took my interest in human behavior into the tech world, where I've consulted on motivational design for products at companies like Uber, Care.com, and Tory Burch, plus VC and private equity firms and many early-stage startups.
My work focuses on the moments where people disappear, armor up, or outsource desire because staying present feels intolerable. I train people to stay.
If you've found your way here, you've probably already done a lot of inner work. You understand your patterns. You can narrate them in detail. What you can't yet do is stay with yourself when it actually counts. This is work at that edge.
If that's the edge you're standing on, join the community.
The Work
What is Self-Connection?
Self-connection is the capacity to stay with yourself when things get uncomfortable, and then act on what you find.
It rests on three pillars. Miss any one and the structure leans: awareness without acceptance becomes self-criticism, and awareness with acceptance but no alignment becomes insight that never changes your life.
01
Awareness
Noticing your inner experience as it happens, the feeling, the thought, the sensation, instead of hours later or not at all.
02
Acceptance
Meeting what you find without attacking it, so your self-knowledge becomes something you can work with rather than a weapon.
03
Alignment
Letting what you know actually guide how you live, so your choices, work, and relationships reflect what is true for you.
Alignment is the hardest pillar to hold alone. Being witnessed, week after week, turns what you value into what you actually do, and makes it stick. That's what this community is for.

The Approach
Ancient wisdom meets modern understanding

Self-Determination Theory

Your patterns aren't problems. They are intelligent adaptations that once kept you safe, and now quietly limit you.
Understanding yourself is the easy part.Deathless is where you start living it.
You don't need to know exactly what you want.
You just need to be willing to stay present with yourself when everything in you wants to disappear.
